The picture taking process is slow and time consuming. I have an iPhone 12 and I’m only able to take 2-3 photos then the screen turns grey and the cycle image appears and it stays there for what seems like an eternity. Actually I’ve timed it it stays there spinning for 35 seconds then when it’s done I’m able to take another 2 more pictures the back to the spinning thing another 35 seconds another 2 then another 35. On a big job I’m leaving myself open for a damage not based off a bad locate but off bad and not enough pictures. At my previous employer ELM we used launch point and our policy was take pictures of every inch of every locate and their system was designed to rapid fire pictures with load hesitation in between pictures which is the ideal way of taking quality pics to fight damages with. Also I should only have to hit the add a picture from camera button once to put the app into picture mode then take pics without having to hit the take picture from camera button after each photo. One final issue with the picture mode while the 2-3 pictures are in that processing mode if a phone call or text comes in and I respond by texting back or taking the call the loading process freezes up and never recovers. It will spin and spin for 5 minutes to the point of me get angry and frustrated and then closing out the app completely and restarting it. The main issue with that is if I just took 20 pictures with the 2-3/35 process I’m already red lining and growing frustrated then the sit and spin on the freeze up only to find out none of the pictures transferred over and saved meaning I have to go through all of it all over again. This is a daily occurrence the 2-3/35 issue is with every ticket and the total freeze up and rest only happens periodically. All the time I’m wasting on standing and waiting while it’s sitting and spinning adds up throughout a 12 hour shift to an estimated 30 minutes minimum of non productive down time. I’m losing money my boss is losing revenue and I’m frustrated and angry all day because of issues with an app. The units of work box should default as a blank box so that I don’t have to delete the .001 every time I want to enter a value it needs to be blank ready to receive a number maybe highlighted in red til a number is entered as to remind the tech something needs to be in this box before moving on any further. Launchpoint incorporated esri into their TMS which was responsible for taking the locators daily assignments and creating the most efficient route starting with the furthest away job as job number 1 then shortest path to all the jobs in between ending with the job closest to the locators house as the last job. This is ideal for hourly employees because their clock ended when they closed out their last job so the drive time home was on the locator off the clock. For me personally as a piece rate employee I’d prefer to have it start my first job with the one closest to home and the last at the furthest away point. ELM also locked the locators out of being able to manipulate their route in any way once it was generated it was locked in while supervisors and managers such as myself we were able to manipulate our routing throughout the entire day. Some company’s may want that to be the way it should be for their employees to cut back on doubling back on missed jobs but it should be up to the management of the companies that use your product to make that decision and not a universal across the board thing. Your app is a good tool I was shocked when I first saw it because I know ELM spent a shit ton of money and man hours developing their software and took years of tweaking and fine tuning to get it where it’s at today so with that being said there are some great features with your app that Launchpoint could utilize to make it more efficient so you guys have a good base as a starting point it just needs these adjustments made to make it blow Launchpoint away with what you have combined with my suggestions your product will be superior
